There are different degrees of love. Jesus taught that there is no greater degree of love than the sacrificial love of ones' own life for another.
And Jesus taught His disciples, “This is My commandment, that you love one another, just as I have loved you.

There is no greater teacher, teaching. example, and legacy of love than Jesus. Greater love hath no man than Jesus, for He is the greatest! May we as disciples pursue love like Jesus, walk in love like Jesus, and sacrifice in our service of love like Jesus. Even if it costs us everything, as Jesus shows us, for those we love, it is worth it.
